So I got the Repsol out for the second time this year, nothing crazy as its Saturday afternoon and traffic is pretty bad. I’m in full leathers and when I do get a chance to scream and hit the twisties I’m hitting it hard. I come up behind a camaro that has chrome rimes, aftermarket exhaust and we are both behind a harley going 25mph. When the harley takes a left, the camaro takes a right and hits it hard, back end shifts a little and it starts hauling, me of course, just looking for a vehicle to play with on the back road hits it right with him. I’m pulling second gear wheelies and riding em out then we hit stop signs, lights and such through the back roads just playin. Finally I know that there is a big hill coming up with lots of visibility and I’m gonna run this kid, the car in front of us turns in a drive way, I get a little closer on his backend, I can see his friend is in the passenger seat just watching me in the mirror. The stars and planets align and nobody is coming the other direction, I have about a half mile up a hill to smack this camaro silly, so I hit second gear with all I got, front wheel comes up, I’m leanin over the front end just laughing as I can hear that he hit it, but there is no contest as to who will get up the hill faster, I never even looked at the driver as I like to stay in one piece so I’m just scanning the road ahead, I pass them and all of a sudden I hear sirens, I look in the mirror and the camaro is a cop car!!!!
I pulled over right away and the cops get out like they are on fire, running up to me, I took off my helmet and started apologizing, the older cop that was driving looked at me and said, “you’re an old man, what the f%$ck were you thinking?” I started telling him how sorry I was and gave him my license, he took that and the insurance card and started looking at the bike, he said, “man that thing is fast, I was full throttle and you were walking away from me!” He smiled and said that if I was a young kid I would be screwed, he told me to have a great day and be careful.
