Hey guys just wanted to introduce myself. From Alaska and been riding for 10 years now. First bike was a 94 600F2. Right now I have a 01 R1 *don't hold it against me* but thinking of going back to Honda and getting the 1000RR. I look forward to talking to you guys and getting some good info

Welcome, and at risk of getting mauled youre 01 is a good bike, my brother has a 02 and its a very good bike. Although i can ride much longer wheelies than he can on my 954.
I will say if youre wanting to go to the track and turn the numbers then get a 1000, its ready to race

and another hearty welcome aboard. 8)
You can sit and chill no matter what bike you ride. We'll still say hi. :)
Hey guys, thanks for the welcome. Yeah I know I got the R1 but definitly looking at the new 1000. Last year I sold my 97 900RR to pay for some bills but I sure miss that thing. Got attention big time from the ladies.

everything ive read and heard word of mouth says the r1s got more pull and is still a good all around bike, why bother? anything specific you arent down with on it?
I just miss the Honda's since thats what I started out on. I've put a lot of money into the R1 so I might keep that for the summer since I really don't want extra payments then next spring put money down on a new one. I just think the new 1kRR is the sweetest looking thing out there. Just gotta have the dealer come down on the price a tad, they want 10,999.00 and since I've bought 3 Hondas in the past I hope he gives me a better deal
